Cystic Fibrosis

What is CF?

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is one of the most common autosomal recessive conditions affecting people in Australia. It is a multi-organ disease, characterised by thick, sticky mucus, primarily impacting the lungs and digestive system.

One million Australians (1 in 25) are carriers for the gene and most don’t know it.
